Opinions from the group, please: I have a Ruger Vaquero with a new dovetailed and purposely-too-tall front sight. I need to file down the front sight, but I seem to be at least one hand short for secure filing. What sort of portable, revolver-friendly vise do you recommend? I'd rather only buy this once........

IF your vehicle has a trailer hitch, get a piece of the square tubing to match...with a hole for the pin in it also...and attach a vise of some sort to it. Then make a set of barrel blocks out of hardwood...don't forget to make a cut-out for the ejector rod housing, etc or remove it! The guys I know who have this set-up use it for a lot of other purposes...the first one was the guy who shod my horses.

PS I like the Original Size VAQUEROS...haven't shot many other revolvers in the past four years.
