45nut,

Is that the same T/C of single shot fame--Contender, Encore, TR87, etc? What type of bolt action is on it? Interesting...BCB

I understand the first run will have the +plus+ wood, after that may be a different story. TC knows how to build a good and pretty rifle. I like 'em.

I have a Contenter and a TCR-87, might just have to get one of those. That sure is pretty wood.

Thats their new action,I imagine we will be hearing a lot more about it soon,,first the gun rag writers have to get their free loaners all dirty and scratched up.

That's a nice looking rifle for sure . I hope they sell a bunch of 'em .

I would like to see them bring back the Aristocrat with the double set triggers . Maybe chambered in something like 30-30 :-D

A good looking rifle for sure. I just hope that they don't use the same chambering style as they do on the Contender and Encore platform.
I bought one of the TC Benchmark rifles after they had been out for a couple of years. I had read some good things on them and the price was better than what I could have built a heavy barreld 10/22 for. Well my old pre warning 10/22 will still out shoot the Benchmark. I have ran into some issues with the benchmark, but have not given up on it yet.
I hope they thourghly check this one out before they turn it loose. I am sure all the gun rags will talk it up as they do any new kid on the block.

Read about it today in the newest Rifleman.
Thought about it strongly while shoveling snow much of the day.

Do believe I'll have to get one. wish they'd posted some price's in the article to learn by.
It says they're hoping to sell many more actions to us custom gun builders than they are complete rifles. But, at first they'll be making rifle's til they get a good number of them on the market.

Looks like a Mosberg in a Ramline woodteck stock.
Like a painted up city gal. I used to think my brothers wife from Hicksville Long Island was quite a looker till they spent a weekend and I saw her in the morning without her paint on, scary!!!
Blessings on ya all!

There's a pretty good article on the T/C Icon in the Feb. issue of Guns & Ammo. I'd sure like one in Stainless/Synthetic.

The February 2007 issue of Shooting Illustrated has an article about the Icon. The first ones planned are for April 2007 and chambered in .308 length cartridges including a new cartridge the .30TC. Hornady worked with TC to create the .30 TC. The cartridge uses a rimless case .100 inches shorter than the .308 Winchester yet achieved 3.025 f.p.s. with a 150 grain bullet. Another feature is an interchangeable bolt handle on the bolt body including a modified butterknife, round bolt or oversized tactical handle. MSRP $699...Ray

If memeory serves me right, I read where these new Icon's have a very short turn bolt. Think it uses a three lug system or something to do that. Allows for very low scope mounting.
