I got a gift from a fellow today of ~31 pounds of lead bullets. They are approximately
.518" and weigh in around 437gr. They have a small flat nose and three lube grooves.
Hardness is around 11.5 Bhn.

I think you hit it as I did see those words written on the package. Now to look up
what that round is. Thanks!

Me too.
They would produce more than double the amount of 200 gr .45 ACP SWC
or 314299's.

How about buying a 50-70. It seems a shame to ruin the bullets.
DIRT Farmer I like how you think! I thought the same thing, a good excuse to buy one.

Contact Dromia, he is in need of some fat boolits for a 50/70.

Kool! I made a trade for a mixed batch of lead a few months ago and it included 45 pounds of old, corroded 45 Colt round nose, flat point boolits with two grease grooves lubed with some type of bee's wax mix. They make good flux for the pot when smelting. :bigsmyl2:
