Hello all, this is my first post on the swaging board. I am a long time caster, I have used a friends swaging gear about 40 years ago, other than that I am green at this. Last weekend, while browsing thru a junk shop I found what looks like a complete die for swaging 357 slugs, swc nose punch. Made by "Shooters accuracy supply". Cost was 5 bucks, how could I not. Anyhow, I am looking for jackets to test this thing out, I see that 4-D is out of stock,do any of you folks have any suggestions as to a place to start? Thanks in advance for any help.

You can always make them yourself. Guess it depends on the dies you have though.

If you have access to .380 brass, and a way to anneal them dead soft, they make great .357 jackets. I also use .32 acp brass for lighter .357 bullets.

With the .380 brass, I use a 105 gr. cast .38 bullet for a core, and with the .32 acp brass, I use a 100 gr. cast .32 bullet for the core.

Hope this helps.

I have a bunch of .38 1/2 jackets I'd sell you at .06 a piece shipped.
