Beagle and [Nev.] Curmudgeon still post here. I saw Vly on Saturday and I know he reads the CB Bd., but often busy with that 4-letter word that ends with "k," you know, "work." Since we're asking, what's happened to David R. from western N.Y.? Is he in good health? Swamped with work?

Kentuckywoodworker and Orygun Mark still post occasionally, as does Pigeon Roost Slim and Ammohead. How can you miss Sundog, he is a frequent poster. Lewis Goldstein has gone to his reward. I do wonder about some of the others, they were instrumental in getting me hooked here.

I also miss Grumble and his stories of shooting himself and burning down his house. They were hilarious.

Hey, no photgraphic memory here! I knew some of the guys were around, like Sundog, just remembering some others. No offense to any I mentioned or missed!

Cousin Dave is still around, somewhere....

Green Frog is to be found frequently on ASSRA's Forum. He is a close personal friend of mine.

I wonder if Grumble finaly went feral, living in the outback of New Mexico.

KLW post here sometimes,He also posts on the N-SSA site also.

Ballistics in Scotland or just BIS posted a few times at the
Aimoo site after we left shooters. He got into it with politics
with someone during the startup of the Iraq was.He is a expat
living in Saudi Arabia.Too bad.He was a sharp cookie.
Someone I miss from the shooters mil board was Rule303.
Allways had a somthing going on.

I'm an old Shooters member from the mid '90s. That's where I got my handle Ricochet that I use on most boards. It was the first shooting-related term I thought of that hadn't already been taken. I was on the Rifles board there more than anything.

I'd like to know what happened to dcc_no, myself. We e-mailed back and forth about the 41 Long Colt and exchanged some cases, bullets, etc. He was in New Orleans at that time. After the old Shooters went down, I lost track of him (long before New Orleans was flooded).

Bret4207

dcc_no, Blue Dot, MaxThompson and Georgewxxx all had excelant posts. dcc_no seemed very good on the older "weird" stuff, like the 38S+W and such.

Those who don't have the Shooters CD can still get it from catshooter I think.

dcc_no hangs out at Beartooth Bullets He was alive and well this morning. He goes by the handle Ribbonstone now.

I believe Horsefly posts on the Shiloh BPCR wire. klw is sometimes on the SASS wire and shows up on the Spencer shooters' wire, generally with questions. I'd kinda hoped he'd hang out here more; I've always admired his writing (and choice of topics):-D . Abert Rim is (I think) on the Marlin or Accurate Reloading site.

I used to like to read the blackpowder stuff from Uncle Miltie and Mad Monk. The Monk wrote some regular articles on one site that I can't remember now; Miltie seems to have vanished. As have the Dons, OTMW and OTMG.

This thread finally pushed me into registering. I used to post at shooter's as Triggerguard.

I beleive I saw some information on some other boards that both Rule 303 and Don OTMW have passed away.

I just got a emal from Floodgate showing the thread started by Tpr. Bret. Several of us still keep in touch by emails This is my responce to him.

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked in my favorites to see how many
shooting type foums I can still post on and came up with over 40. Between
working on Beagles cast bullet book and everything else a guy gets involved
in this past 2 years, I haven't checked in on any forums very much.
Occasionaly I'll check see what the guys are talking about on cast ones, but
hardly ever post anymore. Once in a while I'll post something on one of the
two Trapdoor forums I watch to help the younger kids get going on loading
45-70 & 50-70's in smokeless. For some reason the spark isn't there like it
was in the older Shooters.com rag. It might be the limited way we're able to
view the postings verses the old way. I don't know for sure. The bickering
that went on in some of them was a real turnoff. ...Geo

George- Great to see your handle again! I was reading several of your Shooters posts today on the CD. Keep in touch sir. We need you here.

If Rule303 and Don OTMW have passed then the world of casters is poorer for the loss.

I posted many messages on the old Shooters.com site, but almost none had anything to do with cast boolits. I think my handle there was Geo. That was a great site, I do sometimes miss it.

I've had a chance to do some more reading on the Shooters Archive CD. Even though I hahve fond memories of Shooters, I will say here and now that this board beats ANYTHING we had going on Shooters. I don't know if it's the experience the members have gained over the years or the fact some of us passed the lurking stage (took me 18 months to gut up the courage to make mny first post) or that we somehow have more writing skills (!) but the info here is much better by a scale of 10 or 20X. There are a few exceptions like Felix and Carpetman who haven't changed a bit, but you can track the growth of certain members along theway. Very interesting to see. We've killed a few wives tales here that we stuck to on Shooters.

Carpetman unchanged??? I haven't heard about him killing a cat in almost a year!!!!

Tpr Brett---felix and carpetman remain unchanged but you can track the growth of others. Now at first glance that would seem like felix and I are stagnant. Not so. When you are a mental GIANT--no place to go but down and for us to be unchanged is a real compliment. When you are already at the finish line, you don't need more speed. Thank you. Some may have doubts about this, but felix can confirm it so what more would you want?

Ok, ok! I could have worded that better!

What I meant was that Felix and Uncle Ray were at the top of the heap to start with and haven't changed, ie- rolled DOWN the pile.

So when will your lawyers be contacting me?

The first consideration when suing anyone is “Does he have any money (or anything of value) or insurance I can get if I win?”

If the answer is yes, then you proceed to the question of whether you have a cause of action, and how much it might be worth.

I'm still here. I check the place 3-4 times a day and post occasionally. The new casters are getting so good that many beat me to an answer. No use in running my mouth if I don't have something to say.

GeorgeXXX and Orygun Mark are still with us as well.

Wishing all a Merry Christmas...../beagle
