Have had this mold for while, but just got around to casting with it. Drops fine (if a bit narrow on the nose at .301), but the front band is paper thin. Anyone else have this issue? The catalog images show a narrow band, but this thing is barely there at all. looks like the crimp groove ate it all.

Outdoors,
It depends on what you are using the mould for. for the .303 British the nose may be narrow but for the 30-06 it is just right in my 03A3 and shoots great.

Oh, I'm not worried about the nose - looks like a good for for my .308 Enfield. But the front band seems way to thin and fragile to provide any guidance in the throat. Hard to measure it, but I get around 0.019 on my calipers.

..............I don't think that tiny narrow band above the crimp groove really accomplishes much. All their rifle boolit moulds with a couple of exceptions are perzactly the same :-)

Thanks Buckshot.
I was thinking I'd get another one, but if they are all like that I'll just try and shoot em and see how they fly.
