Lee modern Minie in 500s&w rifle.

I am starting to play with the Lee modern Minie as a hbwc light load for my 500 s & w handy rifle. I want to use a littlebit of fast powder. I have 231,Unique and Tire Group. I am interested in what you might say. I am neither energetic or fast.

I was curious about this too. That boolit looks like it would be a good midrange wad cutter for the 500's. Or perhaps a gaping hollow point stopper. I have made kind of a cursory search for a 500 barrel to fit my handi but have not followed up on it. Someone on here uses a real bullet in his 500.

Fr Kelly, just send the rear end of the handy to H&Real and they will factory fit a barrel for about $100+/-. I got 30-30 and 20ga for my 500 s&w. A neet package on a 65,000 psi rated frame :xe. I

I use several oddball molds in my .500 encore. The HB Wadcutter (Minnie) from lee works real well. I've shot it over unique (I don't remember the charge) and Trail boss. Both shoot well.

I also shoot the R.E.A.L. and a couple oddball .50 front stuffer molds. One is a 3 drive band round nose with a button hollow point.

I've been meaning to turn that minnie around and shot it as a monster HP. I think I'll go laod some now :)

Glad I got mine a few years ago. I have some Hdy one ought Buckshot that I'm thinking of epoxying into some of Tthe cavities. I think I will use Unique and whatever Lee dipper is close to s
even grains. The creator came to me in a dream and told me that if I ran out of boolits I would die. So I started reloading. That's my excuse.
