I put a bolt in the rifle with the extracter on the and not on the side. The bolt is stuck.

How do I get it out?

Thanks.

See if you can turn the bolt handle up. If you can, you should be able to align the extractor by looking from the front. Don't try to turn the extractor, as it will just break if the bolt handle is in any position but up. Usually when this happens the extractor is jambed into the front of the receiver or back of the barrel. the bolt has to be fully to the rear in the receiver. HTH, Ric

As other said, I would use a punch and a hammer and tap the extractor into alignment. You might need a new extractor (doubt it) but that would be better than hammering on the bolt.

I don't know how, but two days later I picked the rifle up and the bolt slid right out. I turned the extractor 90* to the right so it went in the side slot, not the top slot, and all is well.

Thanks
