rcbs competition dies

i seen the other day that you could buy different inserts for the rcbs competition dies it would change the caliber you can load with it.. i have a set of the dies in 270 and was thinking about getting the inserts for 22-250. have any of you guys done this? does it work good if so?

You would have to change the settings on the die just like when you were setting it up unless the two cases were closer in length like 270 and 30-06.
