I've just acquired a Colombian Mauser in 30 06 stamped with the national crest and R Famage 1952.

I need the forward and rear barrel band springs for it, anyone know wher I can get them?

I've tried Numrich but they don't seem to have them for this model, would the barrel band springs of any other Mauser model fit?

Also and information about these rifles history would be appreciated.

Thank You.

Might try Springfield Sporters for the parts.

I had one of those years ago and killed my first deer with it. As I recall it looks much like the standard FN Mouser made before and after the war. I believe that Columbia had a bunch of 7mm rifles re-barreled to 30-06 after the war. They probably bought some as well from Europe. I do not know if the band springs are the same but if you can not find the right ones I would think that almost any full length 98 mouser springs would work.
