Rusty Relics

I picked up a batch of guns that were stored in the trunk of a car for a long time. The outsides are covered with rust, but the bores were all greased ad are in perfect shape. Three of the guns were 6.5 Swede's and 2 of the 3 were Mauser Manufacture dated 1900. The last gun in not quite so bad condition was a Savage 340 with a mint bore. Looks like i have the basis for a nice 6.5 here.

Sounds like you have some winner projects there. I love my Swedish Mauser, don't know why I don't shoot it more!

30-30 and all it needed was the rust turned off the top of the barrel. It also had a redfield peep on it.

Those are great projects to have for the winter. You can now go from casting to rehabbin` as you please. Pull the buttplates sooner than later, as I have found "stored" goodies within before.

My guess would be a pistol gripped rem58. Lets keep guessing until someone figures it out.

Get a few tube's of Blue Wonder and get busy cleaning them up.

Wish I could make a find like that.
