What do you do to get a good reading on slugging the barrel when you have an odd number of lands and grooves?

hh,

Got a feeler gauge set? Take the thinnest leaf, wrap it around your boolit, measure, subtract twice the thickness of the gauge, have a beer and celebrate the fact that you found this site.

Now, that is good.

If you don't have a feeler gauge, rotate the slug as you SLOWLY and GENTLY close the micrometer -- you do not want to distort or damage the slug. If you do it properly, you will feel the simultanious high points of the leading edge of one groove and the trailing edge of another. Make and measure at least three slugs.


Hmmm, just a few minutes after 5:00. You know what that means...
