I am loading for a Marlin Cowboy .38-55; Saeco 300 gr. flat point sized to .379. When crimped in the crimping groove it chambers fine. The problem is I can't find any loading data anywhere for 300 gr. bullets. Can anyone help?

JudgeBAC,

I am using a Saeco #571 300 gr tapered boolit in my Win 94 & Uberti High Wall. I am shooting it for Lever Action Silhoutte 200m. This load is not real fast but accurate.
I have also tried it in my friends Marlin and a H&R Buffalo Classic.
This boolit drops out .377 top band- .382 base band. I size to .379 in the 94 and .380 for the High Wall.

Saeco #571
AA5744 - 17.5- 19 gr
WLR or Fed 210 primer

I don't remember chrono data, and my son crashed the computer the data was on. As I recall it is single digit sd and it hits hard when it hits the ram @200m. I use the same load for the Lyman 264 gr 375449.

Have Fun Shooting,
Jon
