So I have a Predator Pursuit and will be shooting some .224 projectiles that I made. Has any one had any success with something of these projectiles in an AR-15?

So what kind of "projectiles' have you made?

Just the hollow points made from 22lr cases.

If the "Predator Pursuit has a fast twist of 7 - 9" then the question arrises will the "projectiles" hold up to the stress of the high RPM at full throttle? Speer 52 gr HPs hold up with .223 loads in the 3100 - 3200 fps range in 9" twists, some 8" twists but often "banana peel" at 25 meters with 7" twist ARs.

If you've a 9 or 12" twist work up to 26.5 gr H335 in LC cases with a WSR, 7 1/2 or CCI450 primer. Start at 24.5 gr and work up letting the rifle answer your question.

In regards to the H335 in military cases. I found 24.7 is the "sweet spot" I use this in my Savage 223 and is very accurate. hth greg

Yeah Hickory seems to have the soft tip making part nailed down. I need to figure out a way to get these not a hollow point I believe.

I shot high power Sat, Mar 26, with a RRA NM A4 (8 twist). We shot the 50-round National Match Course at 200 yards. After getting my act together on the first three stages (all low-mid 80s), I shot a 192-3X slow fire prone. Load was new LC09 cases w/CCI #41's, 24.0/2230-C, and 55 gr Midway Dog Town HPs. Vel is circa 3K. At 200 yards I cannot tell any difference between the Midway 55 HP's and 69 gr SMK. Yeah, I know, those are store bought bullets, but I thought I'd comment anyway. RRA makes some quality rifles.

Ok so I went to the range with some projectiles that were given to me by a gent here on the forum. Wind was about 15 mph left to right. All in all I am very impressed with this and hope that I may be able to play around with the load data to get it just a bit tighter. Top is 21.5 of 8208 XBR and the bottom is 22.5
