Has anyone had issues with feeding? I have had a few that get boogered on the feed ramp.

The only problem I have ever had with bullets made from 22RF
brass has not been with feeding but fouling the chrome lined bore.

I will let you know soon. I will be going to the range with some in the next few days for the first time.

Hi Ammosmith,

I've had no problems in any of my 4 AR barrels. How deep do you seat the bullets?

Thonk it was the fact that te load was not hot enough and that the mag I was using was a cheap military contract one. It was a 62 gr HP with 26.5gr of BL-C(2)

Might also be how big the hollow point was. 60 grainers pretty much fill up a rimfire case 100% when the tip is closed down to where it look right (to me anyway) I think mine are 6s ogive

This is the 60gr bullets I make. I don't know how a
hollow point can be made, unless you are using a CCI Stinger case.

The HP was quite large. I made them for the 220 Swift. He 75gr SP I make do really well. I'll have to try and make some 63 gr FMJ

Very nice indeed. The projectiles that I made the other day were 55 grain and way hollow.

Maybe I am doing something wrong.

All right I need to know. What dies are you using. How long was your core. Could you please show the steps to make that beautiful bullet. I know there are others out there but I think yours looks perfect.

Tom R;
The cores are 50.2grs and they come flush to the mouth of the case before seating the core.
Because they are so long, I find it necessary to bell the mouth just a bit so as not to crush the jacket when seating the core.

I have an old Corbin Might-Mite press to make these.

You were making 55 gr in those threads?

My 60 gr bullets are also lead tips not enough length to a standard long rifle case for a hollow point. I can make 55gr bullets in either hollow point or lead tip by adjusting bullet length.
On subject I shoot some out of a 180- series Mini-14 and have no problems . I do bell brass slightly to load as the sharp flat bottom is hard to start.

Yup. I had one do this. I do however think that it is because the hollow point that I made form them was too big.

I then opted for the lead tips but I do not think that they will be as accurate.

I think that I was not making the hollow point small enough though.

I get a Fail-to Feed about every 50 rounds. I'm using 60 grain HP bullets and a Bushmater AR-15. Occasionally I'll get a bullet punched back down into the case even though I use a Lee Factory Crimp on all ammo.

The jackets are very thin and have a tendency to deform on the feed ramp.

take your ar15 a part and fix your ramps with a 6s thay will get stuck every now and then with a 5sar15 are good to go 7snight mare in till you clen up the ramps if you look at the ramps and let a round feed up them you will see the ramp kind pinch the bullets i took and open up the ramps just a bit and thay will work fine now have not had one jam after fixing the ramps do not go over bord just take the sharp corners off and it shod work good i can post pic of mine if you need just pm me

Very nice bullet, Hickory. You are using the same press I am but I got the open tip point forming dies. I have one in 1 cal ojive and one in 6 cal. I have made some fmj but I think that would really be tough in anything more pointed than 1 cal.
