Anyone watch the TV show Blue Bloods????
I watch anything Mr Tom Selleck is in.
I've noticed that when they show him in his offise, there is a picture of the good Roosevelt in the background.
Makes me wonder if Mr Selleck had something to do with it.

As I remember TR was Police Commissioner of NYC for a time.

Is it a T.V. show or a movie?

I tried to watch it but the language turned me off. Too bad because I'm a huge Tom Sellick fan.

I started watching it, but after about 6 shows I quit. I am a huge Selleck fan, but I felt like he is wasted in the role that he plays. Obviously I am in the minority so far.

Now Justified, that is a show I watch religously.

didn't even know it existed, will look for it, if it's any good or it takes ANY ammount of thinking on the watchers part, it will probably run only one season,, and be replaced by a sit com or two with laugh tracks, I don't care what it is if I hear a laugh track, its gone, although with some its not blasted at you and played at the appropiate time, that yuou hardly notice it, but this is usually relegated to the older reruns.....steg

I believe that Selleck is Ezec producer of Blue Bloods.
I do like the anti PC that is writen in to the show, along with the dislike that the comissioner has for his boss the mayor.

Good show. I respectfully submit if you think Teddy was "good" you are a liberal or
have not investigated what his real domestic policies were. Before I looked more closely
at his record, I was a big TR fan - tough, strong, personally brave, war fighter, hunter,
cowboy, good on international policy, a great president, right? As far as international
relations, he was good, but he was basically a central government control type, which
eventually became communism much later. His cousin, Franklin, was a LOT worse in
effect because he was in office longer (4 terms) but not much difference in outlook,
really.

the language?? very very mild I think, consdering what they used to get away with on Hill Street Blues. The language there was a real turn off,and I'm far from being 4-letter-word sensative.
I too like the show, watch it all the time.

Thanks Bill,
Your TR experience pretty much mirrors mine. I think I would take TR over FDR but that is not saying much.
Back OT, people still watch television?

OK, back OT. Sorry for the thread drift but as a dissappointed former TR fan . . . . .

Yep, sometimes we watch TV. NCIS, NCIS LA, Blue Bloods, Modern Marvels, some Discover channel,
but much of the time - "200 channels, nothing on."

When that happens, switch to Easy Instrumentals on the CD24 channel, easy music perfect music for reading a good book by or one of the sirius channels with music from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's or 80's, perfect to bring back plesant memories.

Seeing as to how the current trend of "tube" watching is either dance competitions (I call them clog dancing shows) or the junk reality programing of survival or some other inane stupidity - I`d rather read a decent book or watch paint dry!Robert

Netflix. Watch the series you got hooked on 20-30 years ago that you never saw the ending of! Or that movie you wanted to catch back in '87 but work got in the way.

Pretty good value I think for $9.00 a month.

Put me down as a Sellick fan, especially as the New England Sheriff Jesse Stone. Mixed feelings re 'Blue Blood' - the longer it lasts - the longer the wait for a new movie! Interesting cast.

Agree with Bret and Netflex. Right now am doing all of the old Brit comedy series to include Benny Hill.

Netflix has pretty well entirely replaced TV watching in my house.

We watch it instantly over the Xbox.

I finally got all the way through "Lost", "Terminator-The Sarah Conner Chronicles" and now I'm finishing "Jericho". Since that's pretty much all the doomer series there were, I'm not sure where I'm headed after that. Re-runs of "Adam-12" and "Emergency" I suppose....

What is this " T.V. " you write of?
