:coffee: ----What is the twist in the K-31---and what weight boolit do they like---At present I'm using a 200gr. g/c boolit which works pretty well---Just wondering if it would like a 180gr. better---any opinions ?

The twist in the K31 and most of the 1911-typer rifles is 1:270mm, which works out to 1:10.6-something inches.

I have used jacketed bullets from the 135 grain Berger FB Match to the Berger 190 grain VLD very successfully. I have had success with cast from the Lee C-312155-2R, Lyman 311 672 (about 160 grains); Ideal 311291U (168 Grains), Ideal 311334 (195 grains), and the Lee 180 and 200 grain moulds. The heavier bullets work better in the 1911 rifles and carbine because they can be seated out further. YMMV.

The only potential issue I see with heavy boolits is that they take up a good bit of the powder space. The ogive has to start tapering right at the case mouth in mine, because that's where the rifling starts. The .30 HBCs in mine extend well below the shoulder.
