Went to the range yesterday and had some good results. My .45 Colt shot about an 1.5" using Lyman 452424 with 6.0 gr unique. Not a real powerful load but it's straight WW's and no leading and plenty accurate at about 20 yards. I was tickled. The .45 ACP kimber shot well with a LEE 452-200-SWC with 5.5 gr unique. It didn't seem as accurate as my dads load with bullseye but I only got to shoot 15 rounds through it. I was stripping it to inspect for leading and I slipped while turning the barrel lug and the recoil spring plug just vanished:confused:, I never seen it or heard it. The ground at the range is littered with steel cases so after an hours search I gave up. I'll be calling kimber on monday to get a replacment. Oh well I shot straight WW's without leading in both my .45's I'm still happy. Oh and the Old man shot about an 1" group with his rock island .45 at about 20 yards so he's got bragging rights this week.
