I just found out my old Lyman pot(Model 61) was off on it's thermostat 75 degrees. I checked the melt with the new thermometer I got from Swede and it indicated 600 degrees. I had the pot set for 675 to hasten the melting process. I'm glad I got that thermometer as I wouldn't have guessed it would have been off that much. Well, it's old so I guess it's earned the right not to be as accurate as it once was. It still melts lead and that's the important thing.
