The wife and I are on a cross country road trip for two months visiting our grandkids in Maryland and Illinois. Along the way we have been visiting other folks and especially the folks from the Cannon board.

How about this, neat huh? No not the cannons look closer, up by the spare tire. See it, look close. There is 4 off them.

I got excited when I saw them.

Then I found out they aren't linotype. :( just cable sheathing cast in a linotype mould. Rick gave them to me. :)

That's alright, they will go good with the 47 pound bucket of lead free solder I picked from Tim.

Thanks Rick, Thanks Tim! :drinks:

I have an ingot that looks like these minus the loop. Is that most likely lino type?

You so suck with your "having fun with friend type people and little cannon thingies and getting free lead ingots". ;)

Are you going to need to rent a trailer to get home?

I also scored two pieces of 9" x 7 1/5" x 32 1/2" yellow pine for a base for my 6PDR Confederate mortar, for nothing...Stopped at a local sawmill and got it cut to 5 3/4" x 7 1/2" x32". The guy wasn't going charge me then said $2. I handed him a $5. He said he didn't have change...told him I was paying the $2 and gratuity...he laughed, I laughed and got the heck out there before he changed his mind.

I picked up my limited edition No 24 of 24 Krupp firecracker cannons from Seacoast Artillery http://www.seacoastartillery.com/ early the trip and have been stopping of and visiting fellows from the cannon board along. I have been taking pictures of the fellows with No 24.

So far that little trick has got me a cajun crawdad feed in Vicksburg, barbecued ribs in Knoxville, Japaneses feed in Pulaski and a great deli sandwich and fries in Yorktown. And the trip is only half over.

You loosen the clamp and telescope those Krupps for storage, right?

Well that's how they look!:veryconfu
