I think I have narowed my choice down to either BAC or 2500+ How do these 2 compare to the Lyman Super Moly I am currently using (hardness)? Which one is less smoky/stinky when you shoot it? Preference?
Thanks,
Jason

P.S. I will be using it to load mostly mild .38 and 45acp and a few 9mm and 357 on occasion

If you don't have a heater, the BAC works real well. I prefer the Carnuba Red, but it takes a heater.

What are you loading? Would caranauba red work as a pan lube?

I use BAC and don't see any reason to try any thing else. 45 LC, ACP, 9 mm, 38-55, 308, all are happy.

sounds good to me....how sticky is it on the bullet?

Carnuba red works for pan lubing but you must have a silicon pan for pouring the lube into or it will stick and not come out even if you use a teflon coated pan. I really like the Carnuba red.

sounds good to me....how sticky is it on the bullet? I assume you are refering to the BAC. It's just a tad sticky. Not near as bad as beeswax/alox. If you can keep from getting it all over the boolit when lubing, cleanup is easy. That's why, however, I like the Carnauba Red. Not sticky at all. Id DOES require a little heat. There are a lot of ways to heat a lubrisizer that don't involve buying a heater for the machine.

Carnuba Red best thing for cast boolits short of the mold itself. ;)

I do use silicone trays.

I am thinking about going with the 2500+ just to split the difference between pistol and rifle bullet lube.

I use 2500+ for everything and it works great. I'm sure that BAC is also good.
