Today I went to a plant I've done some work in before. The one guy I do most of my work with came by and saw me. He got a big ole grin on his face and said, "I got something for you." He came back with a 15 lb block of lead. Then he tells me he's got a bunch of lead flashing at his house he's going to bring in for me tomorrow.

Yep, one of my customers, a long-term friend, called me last week and said he had a little lead for me. Said he'd just leave it in the bed of my truck at work. I figured it'd be a few roofing boots. Much to my suprise I left work and found a pile of x-ray sheeting all nice and rolled up. When I weighed it up I had 290#s. Very little sheetrock and paper left on it too.

He don't even drink. I guess I'll need to take him to lunch at the least.

Yes, it is. I had a buddy give me 50lbs of lead a while back and another buddy have me another 30lbs a week ago. It is good to have friends.
