All I can say is "WOW". Got the mold yesterday and cleaned it thoroughly with acetone. Left the mold on the lead pot for about 45 minutes at 750 degrees. Air Cooled Wheelweights.

I cast about 100 in a few minutes; this is a 4-banger in brass. Excellent.

I can't wait to load these and shoot them. Enjoy![smilie=w:

Load data with this bullet, please?

I know several of you have shot this one already. Could you share some of your load data using this bullet?

I plan to shoot them in a Sig 220; and 3" Kimber Ultra Carry.

Thanks,

4gr Bullseye, excellent target load.

I have M&P's HG68 6 cavity in aluminum from a buy in 2009. I love his brass 2 cavity cramer's and have 1 4 cavity brass 45-270 SSA. The speed and light weight of the aluminum is hard to beat. I don't think I will ever wear it out. But that brass sure looks pretty. I too would like to see more 6 cavity aluminum buys.

I have had good luck with both 4.0 Clays and 4.7 HP38. Both seem plenty accurate for my needs and give me right about 750 fps.
I have no need for more velocity than this as it punches paper quite nicely.

My experience, which is extensive, is however, limited to 1911 .45 ACP's and S&W .45 ACP revolvers. This is my most used bullet, by far.

For target use, 4.0 grs of Bullseye (or equivalent) works very well for both 25 yards and 50 yards. Hodgdon's Clays burns much cleaner (in appropriate loads). Titegroup is recommended by many. Your 1911 must be tuned for this light load (normally requires a lighter spring).

A full load (900+ fps) can be had with 7.5 grs of Unique. This will reliably operate most factory spec 1911's.

I use those loads in both my 1911's and my 625 Smiths with great satisfaction.

I have NOT found this bullet and the .45 ACP case to be sensitive, as far as accuracy goes, to which powder you use. Whatever safely gives you the velocity desired seems to shoot well in my guns.

This bullet not only serves well for target use but works very well for self defense and edible small game. Hunting sitting rabbits with this combination is a MOST sporting event.

YMMV
