Not mine!....makes me cry and I am sure you feel the same...anyways...
This nice Tikka spent 4 months in a water soaked gun case.
Beyond the heavy surface rust (the chamber looks surprisingly good), the stock finish has become cloudy. I am assuming this was from the moisture being next to it. A quick rub of iso alcohol didn't do anything.
I am thinking the mositure has transferred through the (lacquer or oil ?) finish and through the inlet, soaking up in the wood.
Any ideas? (Short of stripping the finish from the stock).
What does Tikka use for a finish?
I was going to try air circulation over time while working on the metal...

He has been advised it may never be a tack driver again, but will be a good brush and truck gun for the future.
