HI, while I'm waiting for my new Accurate Mold, I was gathering up a few more things. bought some Lenox brand solder. In the past on the label in said 60/40 50/50, 40/60 etc. these don't. all it says is lead free acid core and contains copper and tin. its a 8 oz roll. I read the MSDS sheet and it made no sense to me. so anybody know much tin I have? will the copper mess up my alloy ? Thanks..............frontloader

The CoC on the MSDS indicates it is 95% Sn + 4.9% Cu + selenium.

If you only add the recommended <2% the final % of copper will be insignificant.

Would the acid core cause any problems? I have 1# of acid core solder I bought in the '70s and would like to use it if it doesn't hurt the mix.

I add copper to the mix for its effect. Only a tiny amount is needed.

After reading your post, I realized that I didn't have any lead-free solder in my alloy calculator. I did a little research and I found that there are two main types: 95%-5% Tin/Copper and 95%-5% Tin/Antimony.
