The LymanReloading Handbook 46th Edition shows SR-4756 starting load at 11.0 grains for 1270 fps and goes up to 12.5 grains at 1405 fps velocities. Thi in Marlin 336 20" barrel and Ruger .44 Carbine with 18 1/2" barrel.

In handguns, a 245 grain linotype bullet with SR-4756 11.4 grains gives 927 fps and maximum load of 13.1 g gives 1125 fps. This fired from a universal reciever with 4" barrel.

I've been loading SR 4756 in handgun rounds since about 1964 or so. It's a great pistol powder, and as John Traveler mentions, Lyman has loads listed for it.

Hope this helps.
