I've got a NIB Ideal 410426 built on the old Ideal small SC block. I like 41 Magnum and was thinking this might be a good candidate for a HP conversion. I'm open to opinions, please.

I'd think it would be better than what you have. I have a 429383 that I've HP'd for the .44 Mag and .44 Special and of course, the 358311 HP'd for the .38/357. It would be comparable.

I wouldn't expect a lot of expansion unless you used a large cavity or pushed it to mag velocities.

On the upside, both of my HP'd RN bullets are very accurate./beagle

Not interested, I finally have a selection of 41 molds that fit my wants very well. I favor single cavity molds for most of my casting, seems that it is easier to maintain uniformity that way. I have a few DC molds but none bigger than that. I really enjoy casting and I have the time to do it.

That's cool. Have been looking for that mould on used market for a while. You are the first one I have seen period.

Ba Bore, The HP version, are these a Cramer type HP? Are all 4 cav's HP'ed? Thats how I'd prefer it if possible.

Look at this website photo gallery page.

The two photos in the bottom, right corner are of the 410426 HP mold. They are tip-out style pins. They work very well and you can cast almost as fast as with a normal 4C mold once you learn the hand motion. Only the HP pins are supplied with the mold.
