I'm waiting for my RD .432 sizing die. Would .002 make a difference when crimping gas checks? Or am I just thinking to much?
Thanks

0.002 won't make any difference.

I've sized Ranch Dog and many other 44 cal bullets at anywhere from .430" to .433" using both Hornady and Gator checks . And they ALL worked fine !

Yes you are over thinking it lol. The Shank for the gas check does not relate to the driving bands of the bullet. In other words with in its size limits the shank should fit the gas check with a slip fit or a snap fit but even some require a bit more work to put on. but when you size the bullet you will size the gas check and seat the gas check against the gas check shank of the bullet. I hope that helps even if it is a bit long. :)
