I checked out the link and it looks like the receiver was cracked for some time???

Says he was shooting Romanian "L" ball ammo. Looking at the pictures on the blogg site it looks like the receiver was previously cracked (before the refinish?) about 2/3s the way around. Hard to say what the history of abuse that rifle went through.

On the one hand, I hate like heck hearing about these "Kaboom" catastrophies, and on the other hand, (in an odd sort of way) it makes me feel just a little better to know that I'm not the only one that something like this has happened to.

When you're the one who's gun blows up, it sure feels like you're the only one.

I hope no one got hurt.

I suppose that these types of posts also serve to keep others on their toes when it come to gun-saftey.
