1903 1908 .380 Colt hammerless magazine

Looking to buy a Colt 1908 .380 pocket hammerless. It doesn't have a magazine. The mags I found on auction sites are $100+. Are there any other .380 mags that will fit and function in a 1908?

In spite of your preference for original mags, you still may have to bite the boolit and look at the after-market sources. I have had reasonably good success on both fit and function with TripleK mags. Their web site is TripleK.com, tap the right window "magazines/grips", then the letter "C" for Colt. Scroll down to the Colt section and watch for a tab starting with 17M, then various product codes following. They offer mags for all 3 variants of the Colt Pocket, each is $32, only trick is to identify the exact version of pistol your friend has and then to order the matching magazine. Good luck.
