Hi, any of you guys own any Accurate Custom Bullet Moulds ? I was checking their website out and thinking about buying their 3 cavity 45-340b mold for my old Vaquero, looks like it might be a good boolit for hunting. You guys that do, have you hunted with it? is it accurate at modest hunting range? is it a quality mold? What do yall think?.........thanks ....frontloader

You'll shoot your eye out.

They are awesome, yup I've only one right now, but have my eye on at least two more. Three cavity brass IMO is the way to go. Not too heavy, casts like a dream. I know nothing of that boolit, mine the .45-300C was a modification of another he had that he redesigned slightly to fit my SRH .454 perfectly.

Tom's (Accurate) molds are the bee's knees. Go for the brass.

yea, I saw the options of brass, iron or alum but forgot to ask which one is preferred by you more experienced boolit casters. my boolit casting has been limited to Lee alum molds,,,,,,,brass huh......frontloader

Hey , I forgot to ask. do you think this 45-340 will stabilize at 1000 fps out to 50 or 75 yards in a 5.5" Ruger old vaquero ? if not what velocity.....frontloader

Tom makes a dandy #45-325B that I use
I push that one @ 1150fps

Shoots great out of the SRH, also out of some Colt's. Haven't hunted with it yet, just received it a month ago or so.

Very, very nice, in reality I believe if I were to run this out of one of my Colt's (Ruger of course) I would have a wider front drive band, and actually do have another design for this purpose. The reason for the .5 drive band on this is because my Super Redhawk is throated very short.
