I havent melted any lead with glass in it.
But my understanding of the manafacturing process of glass, involves floating moulten glass on moulten lead.

I've reclaimed lead boolits and jacketed slugs from the range, and the little stones and sand that got into my smelting pot floated to the top with the metal jackets. Glass is made with sand.

The glass will just float out.
Don't use your bare hands in molten lead if you suspect glass in it. :bigsmyl2:

Almost right, the term Float glass comes from creating a perfectly flat sheet of glass by pouring molten glass over a pool of liquid tin. Since liquid tin creates a perfect plane, the glass that is formed is truly flat. There is a large plant not far from the house that makes float glass and I am always hoping they will sell off (Who am I kidding, I watch the curb to see if they might junk it) a bunch of tin ingots cheap but so far ... no luck.

So we all will be waiting with baited breath when the glass plant shuts down to get our mits on all that tin!
