Does anyone know where I can get load data for 125gr cast bullets for .38?
I would like to have a load using W231 that includes OAL.
Thanks

Hodgdons web site has a load data center with all their powders, winchester, and IMR too. You will find a good source there. As for OAL with a 125 cast, unless it doesn't fit what you are shooting it in just seat to the crimp groove.

Lee second edition reloading manual has some I think. I am not where the book is so cannot look it up for you.
You can look at laser cast also, not sure if they have an online source.

The LaserCast book shows a 125 grain truncated cone bullet,so your oal is whatever it comes to seating it to the crimp groove on YOUR boolit.
for their boolit.4.3-4.8 grains W231 gives 873-974fps in a 6" 'Smith.
USE AT YOUR OWN RISK,VERIFY ALL INERNET DATA GIVEN BY STRANGERS.

I use the Lee 125 RNF in my .38 Specials....3.5 grains of Bullseye gives me just under 900 FPS MV...

Thanks guys.
I looked around and found the sources that y'all mentioned and verified that the load suggestions posted here were spot-on as to being good safe loads.
Winchester listed 4.8 grs of 231 at near 1100fps (6" gun).....that might be a good self defense load for my 642 with the meplat this bullet has, as we all know how cast bullets penetrate.
However, I will only carry factory ammo in my SD guns, cause the last thing I want if involved in a situation is a legal hassle over ammo.
