I am making my own AR15 gas block and need to confirm the location of the gas tube hole in relation to the barrel bore. The offset distance between the two holes. Does anyone have the offset dimension for the gas tube hole in the gas block for a .75" barrel? I am measuring it to be .5" from center line of barrel to center line of the gas tube, but I want to check with the experts...

Thanks,

Jonkzak

I'm measuring .625 center to center on two spare gas blocks that I have. As long as its off set enough to leave clearance for the gas tube it can be tweaked a little to make sure its in proper alignment. Hope this helps

I have drawn up a quick gas block (see attached pdf). Take a look and comment if you like. I would really appreciate any input. I haven't included any addition like rails etc.

Thanks,

That distance is not as crucial as you might think.
