View Full Version : Lyman Mould Suffixes

I understand that a U prefix to a Lyman mould number indicates it casts a smaller than normal diameter bullet. What do the suffixes to the mould numbers indicate on some moulds? As emamples, 429215FV, 457677AV, or 457124AW.

L Ross- I personally don't have a clue, but floodgate will most likely be able to fill you in in exquisite detail once he sees this. I'll look forward to seeing the answer.

Thank you MC, indeed that was what I was looking for. Apparently I need to learn how to navigate into older threads for some of these answers that others have sought before me.
I am in the process of finding all my moulds and organizing them in a cabinet. Checking for missing parts, zip tying the blocks together with easily readable cardboard tags on them. I had been keeping most of them in an old Coleman cooler and I think they have been multipying in there with nothing else to do.
