today is a sad day in port huron,Joe a good friend of mine passed away today.
joe was a avid shooter,boy scout leader,family man,city engineer for port huron.
also competed at camp perry in the high power rifle division
I want to dedicate a load in memory of joe,we call them [HEAD BANGERS]
this pulled out of the winchester 2003 reloading manual.
joe was trying them in my 629 S&W,it kinda got away from him and split his forehead open[smilie=1:

winchester brass
240 gr. keith hardcast lead swc
25.0 gr of 296 ball powder
WLP primers

please keep his family in your prayers, also redneckdan & jenn

Heart goes out to you. We lost a co-worker yesterday and you never stop to think of what that means till the times are past. Gianni.

Very sorry to hear about the loss of your good friend.
I think the toughest part about getting older is the loss of family and friends.

That's been my favorite .44 Magnum load since the 1970s. My wife opened her forehead with it, too, holding my Super Blackhawk loosely with bent elbows.

Sorry to hear about your compradre. That load is my 'other favourite load' my fav is Elmers load, but I shot a lot of the Winchester load out of my 5.5" NMSBH when 2400 was off the market here for a lot of years. MIck.
