I don't cast yet, but have a Q about a mold i'm interested in.
The Ranchdog .38 cal. 190 gr. GC TL mold, if I buy one of these I would like to cast w/ GC(hunting, longer range shooting) and w/o GC's (plinking and short range practice in the shed @ 30 feet and outdoor range 25 yds.) and I would like to shoot at least several shots w/o any leading problems.
BTW mostly loaded into .357 mag./ .357 Max. Contender barrels. Thanks.

Ranch Dog is your man, check out this link. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?t=108719 He has the 311-165-RF pictured, but it sounds like he can do any of his TL molds.

And you can order it from Michael here: http://www.ranchdogoutdoors.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_5_18&products_id=28

I have used that bullet, aircooled, sized .359" without GC in my GP100.

13.0 grains of H110 was accurate, but you might have a hard time crimping it enough to hold it in place under recoil.

Have used that same bullet sized .359" with GC, water dropped in my 14" TC/357 Max and it runs over 1900fps with 21 grains of H110.

I didn't explain my posts very clearly. Michael has figured out how to remove the gas check shank in his TL molds and is offering it as an option on the 6 cavity molds, either all PB or 3 GC and 3 PB. This should do what you're looking perfectly.
