I am in search of a 360 grain, wide meplat, plain-base mold for my .454 Casull. There are a few that I have found on-line. But, are there some ya'll recommend? I really don't want to spend a ton of money on one. But, they are expesive.

Use of this bullet will be for my Ruger Alaskan Super Redhawk with the 2 1/2" barrel. Velocity will hopefully be somewhere between 1,000 and 1,100 fps. I want a bullet that will penetrate and cut or brake anything in it's path out to 20 yards.

I will be using wheel weights to cast these bullets.

Thanks

Check out Ranch Dog outdoors. I think you can get a plain base version of his 45-360 rifle boolit. Just size them down to .454.

I had BRP make me one of his 45 pistol molds, a 325 SWC, and had him run the cherry down in the mould a bit , to make a 335gr boolit. Bit light , but might work.

Tom at accuratemolds.com if he doesn't already have what you want in his catalog just email him and he will make exactly what you want. He has lightning quick turn around and is very prompt on answering emails. He is the only mold maker I need
