Rings for Old style Weaver mount (7675X)

Help! I scored on some NOS Weaver 7675X one piece mounts for the 788 extra long action (7.1" between action screws). Weaver Optics tech support has el zippo on these mounts.

Hanger case has an insert that says "Weaver Mount" All-Steel Top Mount Base, Used on these rifles: Remington 788 Extra Long Action Hanger says Model 7675X Mount is stamped on right side "Weaver" and under the rear mounting screw on the underside is stamped "7675X"

I have used a number of scope bases, yet these are different. There is a slot, the width of a ring, milled crossways into the base. One at the front, one rear. Each slot has a single tapped hole in it. There are no screws or screw holes on the side if the mount for a ring to be fastened with.

What you may have is an early WR Weaver mount, which we not have parts for.

One thing YOU DO NOT want a full mount set on a 788 you will find out why
the bolt will not clear the rear base mount
also they dont have EX long 308 is max and all use same 2 pc base
