I am kinda putting the cart before the horse here and maybe should have asked before I oredered, but I just ordered some Starline brass for my 32-20. Its rated pretty high at Midway. Its the nickel plated as the brass was not available. Are there any tricks to this stuff? Nickel in my 45-70 and 30-30 seem to be a little thicker. The Starline is about as cheap for 100 as Remington and WW at 50.

I have used starline cases in several calibers and have been happy with all of them with no issues.

Nickel is usually a bit thicker. I have used lots of Starline 32-20 brass. Will buy more in the future, good stuff it is.

Just finished up another 100 rounds of it, I order by 500 lots. Starline is good brass. The 32-20 and 22 Hornet are, just naturally, thin cases. But Starline is all I shoot in 32-20 for my Contender. You'll have fewer dented ones than if you buy Winchester by the bag. Like the man said, "Good Stuff".

I'm just starting to use some Starline I bought several years ago . It's the plain brass and I'm glad it is . I've had nickel plated brass before that seemed like it was cracking loose after while and sticking to the sizer die . One of the guys at work just loved nickel stuff though .

They are backording my loading dies but I was able to load some up using a 300 Savage die sizing die by taking out the decapping sizing pin and knocking the cases out with a rod. I used an extender to push them in. Had a 32 Long set of dies and used them to seat the bullets. The 32-20 brass is very thin and barely gripped the 312 bullets. I swear the Starline have a thinner neck than the Remingtons. I hope the correct set of dies will permit more pressure on the bullets. The 312 bullets seemed to shoot pretty fair.

That brass is not only thin but fragile. Bump the end of the size die and you ruin a case. Short of Hornet brass it is as fragile as anything I have seen.

wait for the correct dies, they will give you the right bullet pull.

I had a 44-40 once that was like that. It also wanted to crush on loading.
