Could not find any refferance to thoses ##, so, which one fits the best ?? ie; which one will allow seating where the GC is not below the base of the neck ? Which one drops bullets that are close to your throat's Dia. ,
Load both up over 16.0 gn. of 2400, a pistol primer and go shoot

Ben, great minds think alike.........my 7-08 needs just a bit more 2400.

Looks like you're hot on the trail of a nail driving load . What type of rifle and scope are you using ?

She started life as a Colt Model 57 that I bought used in the late 70's as a 243 Win. Just wasn't happy with the way it shot, had the action blueprinted, added a Douglas air gage barrel with a tight reamer spec chamber. Also replaced the tacky plastic caps on the pistol grip and forend with Goncolo Alves added a Baush & Lomb 5X15 and called it a day. Looks kinda old school.
Everything you did to your rifle " Post era .243 " was a step in the right direction. Very Nice ! ! Thanks for taking the time to share.

,Gents, I have aquired both these molds and am wondering which to keep and which to sell. What would be best for 7mm-08? The only difference in the two bullets is the diameter.285129 and 287129 wondering which be best for 7mm-08?

I also don't have a reference for your molds but, I have 2 7mm-08's, a Sako 111 for J bullets and a TC SS Pro Hunter for cast boolits. I've found the Lee 130grn cast is very accurate over 9.0 grns of Unique. However. I've only shot it at 50 yds due to the weather. I am shooting the TC tomorrow, so I'll update. hopefully with some pics.
Lyman suggest starting at 12.0 Unique with their 2287641 (160 grns) boolit.

If you are referencing the boolit diameter, the .287129 is clearly better than the .285129. It always is easier to size a boolit down a bit than to try to make it larger! :D Good luck, and keep us posted.
