thank's fryboy for the options. got a lee bottom pour 10# and 20# for making boolits but don't want to gunk em up anymore with wheelweights. i'm gonna use my coleman 1 burner and a cast iron pot to turn the crude into ingots so the lee pots don't get all crapped up. used a cast iron frying pan today but i don't like the big diameter and shallow depth.

That 6" pot looks good for starting out on a Coleman stove. Prolly get 20 lb. lead in there for ladle pouring...

Thanks for the link. I've been looking for a replacement top for my plumbers pot.

$154.00 for a burner without hose and connections! I'll stick with a turkey frier.

Look when I had my plumbing Bus. 25 years I always had extra pots and laddles laying around that were rusting, (there are so few lead joints any more) so call around to the older local plumbing co. and see if they want to sell anything.

You can keep your CI pots and pans there is nothing like a good plumbers lead pot and laddle.

Many yrs ago I stumbled onto a retiring plumber. I bought his equipment and have been very pleased with it. The burner will "smoke" a large pot of scrap lead in a very short time. The long handled laddles easily pour the silver stream into ingot trays.
LOL, first time I used it was inside our home made camper and the can of beans "exploded" out of the can thoroughly coating the ceiling. That thing really puts out the heat.
