black powder conversions

Anybody know any conversions for smokeless to BP?

Me and a friend were talking and thought it would be kinda fun to shoot BP from 30-30 or 30-06. Maybe some others. But we dont know where to look. I didnt see anything in the Lyman BP book at the store.

Is there a conversion chart somewhere?

A lightly compressed load will be safe. I'd probably go with 2F.

I dont know much about BP, so please tell me. How do you know that?

Is a lightly compressed load kind of universal thing with BP cartridges or what?

#1 rule for loading black powder cartridge is the bullet must be seated on the powder / no air space between powder and bullet base, compressed is good.

Make sure you clean your gun really good after shooting. Must be a water based cleaner to disolve the salts.
