Looking for loads for the 38S&W, I am going to work up a load for a 200 grn bullet. So I also need to know where I could get a mould for a .361 200 grn bullet for this cartridge.

I want to get it at about 650 fps so can anyone help?

BTW, this is not the 38 Special!

#169A is especially for the 38 S&W and was designed by board member oksmle. It is "THE BOOLIT" for the 38 S&W.

Even more than usual, we need to know which .38 S&W pistol you are shooting.

2.0 grains of Bullseye is said to duplicate the British service load and would be safe in Webleys and stronger, but there is some godawful junk chambered for the .38 S&W.

I am shooting a Enfield, so I wish to duplicate the British load.

Gibbs 505 .... The original British load for the 200 grain lead alloy bullet was 630 fps with about 175 fpe. Later they changed to a 174 grain MJ bullet at about the same fps. Look closely at the base of your front sight & you will see where it is retained by a pin or a screw into a slot. This makes it possible to utilize a low or high sight, depending on the bullet weight used.
With the 169A bullet cast from WW & weighing right at 200 grs my Enfield showed the following:
2.0 grs Bullseye = 525 fps.
2.3 grs Bullseye = 600 fps.
3.0 grs Unique = 713 fps. (Most accurate in both my Enfields, Webley & Victory)
