Has anyone had any experience with the NOE 311365 bullet? It looks like it would be a great target bullet in the 30-06 (particularly in the M-1).

I have had good results with cast RN and FN bullets in my .30 Cal. rifles but have no experience with pointed bullets. The prevailing "wisdom" in my early cast bullet addiction was to stay with RN and FN designs.

Now along comes NOE with some beautifully crafted molds and suddenly I have a new addiction. I can't afford to purchase everything that Swede makes on my pathetic retirement income so I have to choose carefully. I have had excellent results with the Lyman 311284 mold so the NOE 311284 in 4cav. would be an obvious choice for known results with increased production. HELP!!!!

If you go look in vendor sales under the 311365 I posted some pics of that boolit seated in 308 win cases. Sexy looking boolit. If it shoots anything like it looks we are all going to be happy.

I should be sending some down range this week:Fire:

I have the boolit's little brother, the 308329. I can get 2moa out of my Krags without doing much load development. I cast with an alloy that has an initial BHN of 23 though. They'll be some shooters posting results of their experiments soon, so stay tuned. I can say that you also can't go wrong with the 311284 as produced by NOE. I don't even mess with sticking them out into the rifling when I load Krag rounds for others, just seat em down to the crimping groove.

I've had the original 311365 since 1962, and have had some very good results from it. The thought that pointy bullets won't shoot is a myth.

Boolits don't drop from my mold without a couple good knocks with the mallet.
Results look promising though.

I shot 12 rounds of them loaded in my 300 Whisper

Another shooter shot my target with a AK before I had a chance to pull it
But it apears I had a 2.5 -3" group at 100 yds , I am sure I can improve on that
This was more of a test to see if the rifle would feed the cast reloads properly

I have owned the original 311365 quite some time as well.It is a good bullet.I have had best luck with it in .308 Win and 30-06 commercial guns than in Krags and worn Springfield's.When shooting at 200 yards at 1500-1600 the design doesn't seem to cut though the wind any better than the 311299 does as similar velocity.
