Has anyone figured out, round about, how many handgun boolits you can lube with one hollow stick of lube. Just curious!

400-1000 per stick.

I only lube the bottom grooves on my 38 wadcutter and 45 SWCs and get 2000 per stick on the 38s and 1200-1400 per stick on the 45s. I am using Javelina in a 450.

It's been alot of years since I've used the Javelina lube. Then again, it's been alot of years since I've casted in any quantity. I remember the lube being sticky. I really like the idea of the stiffer lubes as the bullet can be thrown into a box and the lube will stay put. I bought some Jake's purple ceresin lube a couple years ago and it's worked out well for me. I heat the 450 up and do a couple hundred. I'm planning on doing alot more casting now in 38 & 9mm. I've got alot of 45 acps stocked up.
Thanks for the info!

It sounds like I do it a little different from what you do. I cast in the spring and fall to keep my inventory up. The unlubed boolits are stored in old one pound coffee cans at just over 500 per can. I usually load 38s and 45s in batches of 500 at a time. I lube up a can of 500, change tool heads, primer assemblies, and powder charge bars on the Dillon in one evening. I have already cleaned and bagged the brass so all I need to do the next evening is fill the primer tubes, put the powder in the measure, set the charge, and start loading. My boolits only sit around lubed but unloaded for a day.

I usually do all of my sizing/lubing, reloading for the handguns, in the winter months. If I decide to cast it's when the weather gets a little warmer....like today it's going to be around 50 degrees, so I'm going to try out three new Lee moulds that I tweaked. I ordered a 6-cavity .358" 125 gr. RF that I'm anxious to try. If it works out,I'm going to buy a couple more and I'll be good to go.
Back to Lubes.....I loaded up a few rounds with the BAC lube I had. Going to try it today to check for smoke, etc.

I'm not sure since I use only solid sticks but with the solids I can lube 785 Lyman 44 Keiths.

Obviously bullet size & number & size of grooves determines count. I am w/ Gnasher, 400-1000.
