A local craft store is selling 'palm wax' ground up and bagged in 2lb bags for $10.
Will this be any good for a rifle lube? I currently use Lithi-Bee for high velocity loads but beeswax is so hard to find, I'd like to find a cheater alternative.

I'm sure just about every wax has been called PALM wax at one time in history, so you may want to be careful of what you buy unless it says 100% carnauba wax. I sell 100% pure carnauba..........According Wikipedia Palm and Carnauba are the same. I think the link above will work. If not, just check Wikipedia for palm or carnauba wax and read about it. It is the hardest natural wax known so you may have to add some softener and stick to it. Another good read
I also sell beeswax and Lanolin. Here in our little world beeswax is common. I sell it year round for $4/lb + shipping

Don't mean to hijack the thread but just wanted to say that Randyrats wax is a great deal. I use it for Felix loob and a couple of others. If worse comes to worse I can always use it to make sweet smelling candles.
