Check Precision. They usually have all shot sizes offered and maybe even in a 5# bag. If not, you'll have to see if anyone wants to split a bag and go that route./beagle

I have been thinking of a 25 cal. muzzleloader barrel when I get to Friendship in June. 8 lb of 4buck and a pound of powder would last a while. If I rember 8 lb would equal one lb of air rifle shot in price.

I was thinking of another flint small game rifle, Way more squrriels to shoot than deer. the other project is either a 58 Hawkin or a 58 rifled trade gun. I have dreams of getting to the marrow bone of the earth and trying elk hunting.

I apologize in advance for what might be considered a smart a$$ response since you've already ordered the shot, but I needed some #3 or #4 buckshot to slug the cylinders and barrel of a .22 LR revolver, so I bought a 5 round box of 20 ga. shells and cut one open. Cost me all of about $5.00, and I still have 4 shells left, although I don't expect to use them in the one 20 ga. shotgun I have.

its just a bit too big, you dont want as tight as a fit with air guns as with firearms.

Call me clueless..
Just what would one use 5.5mm shot for?
I reload all sorts of rile pistol and shotgun rounds, but can't imagine it's practical application.
Please enlighten me.
Thanks

How many shots do you think you would get before cleaning? I thought that the smaller the caliber the quicker the fouling built up. I think I read somewhere that about .30 was the smallest practical in a rifle?

Wayne I clean between each shot in my M/Ls anyway, not clean but more than just a swab. I like small bores, well and big bores to. A clean barrel will shoot smaller groups.
