i bought a mold off of ebay and didn't quite pay enough attention to the specs of it. the seller had 2 of em for sale one being a flat nose and the other being the round one that i got. oops darn them last second decisions.

my question is, is this bullet to pointy for leverguns? it seems that the K31 swiss guns seem to like it, but i am not being convinced when i search the forums for info concerning a mod94 winchester.

also, if it will be alright to load more than one at a time, i was hoping to load a few for my kid to play with without gaschecks if possible. he likes to shoot the ground squirrels we got around here.

any and all info is more than welcome.

I've used my round nose cast without problems in my win 30-30....IMO I dont think the RN is too pointy for a lever gun.....especially when its loaded light as most cast loads are

remingtion core locks factory 30-30win 150 and 170 gr ammo comes with a rounded noise if it is no more pointed than that for comparison then you should be just fine

i haven't received the mold yet in the mail so i really don't know how round the bullet will be. i have been looking at the pics of the cavities and i am thinking that this bullet is a bit more pointed than the rem bullets mationed above, though i could be wrong quite easily.

I size these bullets with the flat nose punch and get a flattened nose. Works ok with softer alloys.
