Has a group buy from LEE for a Gould style bullet for the 45-70 been attempted? They do well on hollow base bullets. Why not hollow nose. This would be faster and less bothersome than the Lyman set up. Is there sufficient interest?

I don't think that LEE will provide hollow point molds anymore, they don't list any that I know of. They do list hollow base though.

I just finished several hundred of the 405HB today. They do well by me. While out there I was trying to remember if they had done any hollow point. Would it be difficult to do or does LEE just not do it?

They used to have several HP molds, but stopped doing it awhile ago. Shouldn't be difficult for them to do.

Why dont ya just get the Lyman? Most of us that wanted one prolly have it.
Eather way if its HP its a single. I have never seen a Lee HP in other than a single.

I have the Lyman Gould HP 330 gr. It casts well and I have a good number cast up. I haven't tried them yet...

A friend loaned me a four cavity Lyman Gould mould (it is a solid) and meant to practice with saving the relatively slow casting H.P. for game.

One of these days...

I have the Lyman Gould mold and love it. I just don't get in a hurry and have a good time. And it kills Missouri whitetails very dead.
